Last but not least, Chevy offers two V-8 engines for those who need that last bit of power. The first is the 6.2-liter LT1 V-8, which is standard on the LT1 and SS trims. The second is the powerful 6.2-liter LT4 turbocharged V-8, which is standard in the ZL1 trim. This absolute beast delivers a whopping 650 horsepower matched by 650 pound-feet of torque. Both V-8 engines are paired with a standard 6-speed manual transmission that customers can swap for a 10-speed paddle-shift automatic.

Speed and handling are at the core of the Camaro's design. Vehicles with the base-level 2.0-liter engine are available with an estimated 0 to 60 mph times of 5.5 or 5.4 seconds, which lowers to 5.4 or 5.2 with the V-6. The two V-8 options sport 0 to 60 times of 4.3 and 4 seconds for the LT1 and 3.7 and 3.5 seconds for the LT4. All Camaros are built on a performance chassis that balances rigidity with flexibility.
